| Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Attending a live performance (for example, a play, concert, or sporting event) ismore enjoyable than watching the same event on television. Use specific reasons and examples to suppory your opinion. Many people prefer to go to a live performance rather than stay home and watch it on television. In my opinion, however, the best place to watch an event is in my comfortable living room. At home I have the liberty to put my feet up, and can save my precious time and my hard-earned money. First, I like to watch events in a more comfortable place. Most live performances and events require us to sit in an uncomfortable seat for hours at a time. However, when I am watching a show or game on TV, I can stretch out and put my feet up. Furthermore, at theatres or outdoor events I always feel too cold or too hot, whereas at home I can control the temperature of my space. Next, I can save my time and money by watching events on TV in my living room. I do not like to waste so many hours traveling to and form an arena in the city. Staying at home means that I do not have to travel, and I can get up and do chores during the commercials. In addition, live performances are getting increasingly expensive. For example, the price of one concert ticket is more than 10 times the cost of watching the same event on television. To summarize, there is no place like home when it comes to watching a live performance, a concert, or a sporting event. Sitting in front of my own television in the comforts of my living room allows me to enjoy the program to the fullest. Besides that, staying at home allows me to make the best use of my time and monet. As a result, I rarely go to live events and disagree that they are more enjoyable than watching the same events on television. | |||
